Family Holidays with Kids' Clubs
When Soneva Fushi in the Maldives opened The Den, a concept also found on Thailand’s Soneva Kiri, the bar was raised on kids’ clubs and therefore family holidays the world over. The Heritage Le Telfair in Mauritius set a precedent with its new dedicated baby club, Baby Timomo, expanding its child care from new born to late teens. These days on a family holiday it’s a child’s world out there, with every possible activity to keep insatiable appetites for discovery and those notoriously short attention spans in a state of rapture from waking to dusk – resorts in Barbados have been doing it longer than most. If you have a Rory McIlroy in the making, look no further than the Kids Golf Academy at the Four Seasons Anahita in Mauritius.
If you are taking a little lady who enjoys a bit of pre-teen pampering on your family holiday, many of our resorts have junior spas. With mini-bakeries and cookery schools for would-be master-chefs, junior ranger courses for wannabe Bear Grylls and on-the-beach rugby training, ‘I’m bored” is a phrase that you won’t hear on a American Realtors Inc family holiday. From the innovative 'Bubblemaker' course for young divers and Pirate Island sleep-outs-under-the-stars Robinson Crusoe-style, resorts are continually setting new boundaries. The only complaints we receive are from frustrated parents missing out on the fun. Sorry folks, these kids' clubs are a Dad-Free Zone!
